Llanthony Priory
Hotel
This small country
inn, often known as the "Abbey Hotel", sits within and is actually part of the
original 12th century Augustinian priory.
Real ales are served in the
vaulted undercroft bar, thought once to have been the prior's cellar, while
excellent home made meals are served in the dining room, with its
vaulted ceiling and open log fire.
The four guest rooms are situated in the tower next to the dining room and reached by a spiral
staircase. The rooms are comfortable but basic
and furnished in a manner suited to a 12th century priory, including four
poster or half tester beds. They have no en-suite facilities, and in fact have
no plumbing at all.
Adequate toilet and bathroom facilities are situated on
the first floor.
If you are planning a special occasion, or maybe a surprise we are able to offer a unique service that will ensure that your visit to Llanthony Priory gets off to an unforgettable start. We have teamed up with "The Country Gift Company" (exhibitors at the Country Living Magazine Christmas Fair 2005) who will arrange for a celebration gift to be left in your room on your arrival. To view the wide range of gifts available for any occasion, visit their web site at www.thecountrygiftcompany.co.uk and place your order on line or phone 01873 890568, quoting "Llanthony Priory".
